Travel Stuff

It's important to have everything ready before you take off to Wolverine Mountain. Check out our TRAVEL STUFF page for important information and tips about preparing for your journey.

The Hunt-BC destination for big game adventures is the prestigious Wolverine Mountain area of British Columbia. Located in the heart of the Cariboo Mountain Range, this historic hunting territory is known as the most beautiful setting in the region and is home to the richest wildlife habitat in North America. See more photos in our Camp Gallery.

Our main camp at Kruger Lake is a two hour drive east of Quesnel, BC. Quesnel is located at the junction of Cariboo Highway 97 and Barkerville Highway 26 in the Cariboo region of the BC Interior, between Prince George to the north (74 miles / 118 km) and Williams Lake to the south (75 miles / 120 km). Quesnel is situated 417 miles (667 km) north of Vancouver and 60 miles (96 km) west of the historic village of Barkerville. Guests who fly commercially will fly to Vancouver and take a connecting flight to
Quesnel via Central Mountain Air.

Base Camp

Our camp setting at Kruger Lake is magnificent. Our rustic log cabins sit close to the water’s edge creating a spectacular view and relaxing atmosphere. Base camp features a cook cabin and two comfortable guest cabins. We have a shower house, indoor toilet and washer and dryer. Electricity is supplied by a generator and battery system, and the shower house has constant hot running water. Hot meals are prepared on an old fashioned wood burning range. A big pot of cowboy coffee is ready for you in the cool mornings. We conduct vehicle and boat hunts from main camp.

Alpine Camps

Dominion Camp

Spring Fed Creek Open Meadows Horseback Hunting

Dominion Camp is situated in a large alpine meadow with Dominion Creek running below camp. Meals are prepared by the guide on a Coleman stove and water is supplied by the creek. Moose roam the meadows and bulls have been taken right out of camp.

Haggen Camp

Cook Cabin Hunter's Cabin Propane Range

Meadows/Slides Lakes/Creeks Horseback Hunting

Haggen Camp is a bit more comfortable, but is a true back-country camp situated in the middle of nowhere. We hunt alpine meadows, slides, creek bottoms and lakes. There are no roads here, and hunting is done on horseback and on foot. Moose, grizzly and mountain goat hunts in the alpine country are a once in a lifetime adventure!
